Synthetic Biphenyl Ether Heat Transfer Oil(L-QD400)
Product overview
Product information
L-QD400 synthetic biphenyl ether heat transfer oil is the highest-temperature fluid in the Maven heat transfer range. Biphenyl ether chemistry holds up where terphenyl and alkylbenzene fluids would already be cracking, which is why this class is used in processes that run continuously at the top of the practical range for organic heat transfer media.
It is a sealed-loop fluid for high-temperature indirect heating: chemical and petrochemical reactors, distillation and reboiler circuits, heat-recovery systems and specialised industrial processes.
This class demands proper engineering rather than just a good fluid: a correctly sized expansion tank, protection from air ingress, a minimum circulation rate through the heater, and monitoring of the low-boiling decomposition products. The TDS states the physical data, the class temperature limits and the handling requirements; the SDS is supplied with each delivery.
