Base Oil 250SN (Group I)

Base Oil 250SN is a medium-viscosity Group I base stock. It combines useful solvency with a heavier viscosity than 150SN, which makes it a workhorse component for gear oils, heavy hydraulic fluids and industrial lubricants that need a thicker film without moving into bright-stock territory.

As a solvent-refined Group I oil, 250SN offers good additive solubility and dependable oxidation behaviour in normal service, and it blends readily with lighter stocks to reach intermediate viscosity grades.

Typical applications: industrial gear oils, hydraulic oils, compressor base blends, circulating oils, greases as a carrier component, and general machine lubricants. It is frequently used together with 150SN to adjust viscosity in blended products. Physical properties, packing and current availability are listed in the TDS; the SDS accompanies each delivery.
