Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor Package

MV808 is a corrosion inhibitor package for engine coolants. It is a blended additive system rather than a single chemical: the package combines the corrosion inhibitors that protect the different metals present in a cooling circuit – cast iron, steel, aluminium alloys, copper and brass, and solder – against cavitation, pitting and general corrosion.

It is dosed into a water-glycol coolant base to build a finished engine coolant (antifreeze) or a heavy-duty coolant for stationary engines, generators and industrial cooling systems. The balance of the inhibitors in the package is what determines how long the coolant protects the metals and how well it holds up under thermal stress.
