High Flash Point Heat Transfer Oil(L-QB300)

L-QB300 high flash point heat transfer oil is a mineral-oil-based closed-loop fluid. The high flash point is the point of this grade: it raises the safety margin in systems where the film temperature at the heater wall runs well above the bulk oil temperature, and it reduces the risk of vapour formation and pump cavitation.

The L-QB300 designation follows the Chinese GB 23971 class system for heat transfer fluids, where the letter group identifies the fluid type and the number gives the maximum bulk temperature class. Mineral-oil QB fluids are the standard choice for indirect heating systems operating in the moderate range.

Typical service is closed-loop indirect heating in process plants: reactors, dryers, presses, asphalt and bitumen tanks, and food-processing heat exchangers where a non-toxic mineral fluid is preferred. Change interval depends on the hot-side temperature and on whether the system is open to air; the TDS gives the physical data and the recommended limits.
