Synthetic Alkylbenzene Heat Transfer Oil(L-QB300)

Product overview

Product information

L-QB300 synthetic alkylbenzene heat transfer oil is built on an alkylbenzene base fluid rather than a straight mineral oil. Alkylbenzenes have no wax, very good low-temperature flow and a high resistance to thermal cracking, which makes them the usual upgrade path when a mineral QB fluid is running close to the edge of its life.

It is a closed-loop fluid for indirect heating systems: reactors, polymerisation and resin plants, dryers, calenders, bitumen tanks and heat-transfer circuits that see repeated heating and cooling cycles.

Because the base fluid is synthetic, the oil keeps its viscosity and stays pumpable at low ambient temperature, so cold-start problems in outdoor installations are reduced. Physical properties, the maximum bulk temperature for the class and the recommended service limits are in the TDS; the SDS ships with each delivery.
